I hold myself to hard standards. I also expect those who choose to work under me to take their jobs seriously. But Abra, for reasons I admittedly can't grasp, decided to stay of his own free will.

There's something I've observed, from watching people gradually partner with Pokemon.

Pokemon don't partner with or battle for someone they don't respect. And they certainly don't do it enthusiastically for no reason.

I don't believe your Pokemon chose to follow you blindly. Your Obstagoon was clearly happy to fight alongside you.

If you can believe in nothing else, yourself included, consider believing in that.
